22 Jan Heditude Unplugged – Beergut 100 and Amy Fennell
Iron Maiden on an acoustic guitar?
Anyone who has seen Beergut 100 knows they are one of the best rock and pop covers acts in the East of England. Playing songs from the likes of AC/DC, The Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, The Cult, Muse, Stereophonics, Kiss, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Queen and many more, Laz, Lisa, Deanyboy, Phil and Lee know how to make themselves heard, and already have more than 18 gigs booked for 2020.
So it was quite a coup that band not only agreed to play Heditude Unplugged, but they were also free on Saturday 29th Feb.
Laz told us; “We really looking forward to Heditude Unplugged. It’s something really different for us. We play an eclectic mix of classic rock and pop. From Avril Lavigne to AC/DC to Iron Maiden. Normally our amps are cranked but this will be our first go at playing some of our setlist acoustically. Should be interesting!
“Heditude has quickly built a reputation as a great little festival. It also supports some well-chosen local causes, and we’re very pleased to be part of it.”
Old pros and New talent
While Beergut 100 are old pros, at the other end of the spectrum is 16-7ear-old Amy Fennell, who made her public debut at The Hedingham Club just before Christmas, accompanied by Lauren Woolley of Hargreaves. Amy has a great voice, far stronger than her age would suggest, and will be singing a short set of well-known Pop & R’n’B songs.
